History

Personal Licence Training

The company was originally founded in 1992 under the Innterpub banner by the current Directors. Both Directors have gained valuable experience and knowledge from working directly within the hospitality industry. The Directors then realised training and licensing should be localised and sep up independent training and licensing divisions for Wales and Scotland.Personal Licence Wales.co.uk and Personal Licence Scotland.com, where both launched in January 2008 to localise our services within the community. Both Directors have also been actively involved in hospitality and retail training for a combined time of over 60 years. They have also managed and owned various licensed premises, from Public Houses to Hotels and Licensed Retail outlets.

The aim of the company (Personal Licence Training Limited) from the off set was to provide professional licensed trade related training courses, with a flexible approach for both individuals and groups. Over the years the company has provided it’s training courses for small retailers, independents and large national companies, such as Taylor Walker, Nicholson’s, T.G.I. Fridays, Wolverhampton & Dudley Breweries. Holiday Inn, Time Group, Indian Spice, Mint Restaurants, Hippodrome, Leicester Square London, to name only a few. The Company has been at the for-front of professional hospitality training for the last ten years, producing it’s own recognized licensing certificate the (RLC) Regional Licensee’s Certificate, which was an acceptable and recognised licensing qualification throughout the whole United Kingdom.

Over the past few years the company has produced thousands of certificates for it’s independent clients, such as Off-Licenses, Indian and Chinese Restaurants, Independent pub companies, wine bars, theme bars, bed & breakfasts and hotels.

From time to time, we decide to make alterations to our properties where we will require Planning Consent and Building Regulations for these works. Planning is usually applied for by means of existing and proposed drawing and the relevant forms being submitted to the Local Authority

Some residential alteration works will not require planning consent, these are known as permitted developments and if you works fall into this category it can save you both time and money.

If this sounds confusing, it is, because the law relating to planning matters is complicated and you invariably need a professional advisor to guide you through the process. UK Surveyors can sit down with you and discuss your proposed works in depth and arrange for the correct submissions to be made, we will follow any application through to the decision date.
